great vid love it and cannot wait for firefight in study breaks during exams

  3. Doc says:

I’m curious what that blue glowing grunt was. This looks like a bunch of fun, a good step up from the first firefight

omg, listening to those doors open, took me back to the good old days of playing the mission Truth and Reconciliation. The only way I could think of to make this FF mission better would be to throw in invisible and golden armored elites carrying the old Halo 1 version of the energy sword as well as banshees that fly in every now and then to attack. seriously, this mission is gonna rock.

I’m not sure, but I think that player had Cortana’s voice. – WANT!

    • Zwooosh says:

Nah I think it’s just a standard female voice, since the player is obviously using the female spartan :D

And the elite really amazed me! During Halo 3 or even ODST I encountered dozens of those situations, you see a brute, shoot it but don’t kill it, and finish the job later… because he is still there.

Not with these pesky little aliens! He immediately ran upstairs, and before the player could pick up the turret, he was killed… awesome!

Some great AI work there Bungie!

    • Maybe Jen Taylor voiced the various grunts and groans for female Spartans. No complaints there. :D

    That looks positively delicious.

Still, too much matchmaking made me uncomfortbale when he didn’t go get the Ordenance/Power Weapon.

And man those Skirmishers move fast.

This game gets better every day.

i think ima need a new set of undies…..

I just noticed something: When you have a Greande Launcher, there’s a little display that says “Ready”. Once you fire and hold the trigger, a light turns yellow (There’s also a little yellow symbol next to the crosshair), and the little screen reads “Linked”. When you detonate it, the light turns red, and the message reads “Boom”. There’s also a counter which, pressumably, shows you exactly how much has the grenade travelled or something.

Gotta love Bungie for those little details xD

Was that an Engineer early in the video? The one that other guy lasered? I’m also curious about those glowing Grunts…

    Gah! Can’t wait!

    • tcyril says:

      awesome attention to details

    • kirbowshi says:

Details? You got that right. Every time the player switched to pistols, there would be an animation to switch of the safety.
Also, bubble shield is back yeah! And hunters still scare me.

    • hongoasdf says:

Ah, of course! It was an Engineer after all. And those lil’ bastards grant allies overshields when near them! So the glowing Grunts mean there was another Engineer nearby.

Saw another video that confirmed this. Well, not the pressence of other Engineer explicitly, but there were some more of the glowing Grunts (And glowing Brutes, too), that had overshields toggled on and off periodically. Guy shot them a bit, shields went off.

BTW, it may be that they were playing on a low difficulty in that video, but Brutes seem really weak now.

Why is it that people who get to play these things early kinda suck? He didn’t even pick up ammo right off the bat, he never went for the ordinance, and made some of the worst weapon swaps I’ve seen.

    Skirmishers got mad hops, though.

Kinda disappointed w/ the pistol’s ret bloom and the fact that taking a step with Active Camo practically deactivates it. Ah well. Minor gripes.

    Looks fun.
