Me: (running from rocket spawn towards invisi)
Male friend: I love you!
Me: Uh … (someone drops down from turret and assassinates me)
Five minutes later, postgame lobby
Me: So, why did you tell me you loved me in the middle of the game?
Friend: What are you talking about?
Me: When we were fighting in the middle between the bases …
Friend: Seriously bs angel. I said, “Above you.” Not, “I love you.” People aren’t always professing their adoration for you ya know.”
Me: Oh.

The statement was made by my oldest and dearest Xbox Live friend (we’ve known each other probably upwards of four years) so yes, I waited a bit as it was strangely out of character. :)
BTW, I think he still loves you, he said they’re not always professing their love for you, which means he loves you, but now he’s gotta work harder to deny it :D
