The Difference a Single Letter Can Make

Sometimes, due to a lack of clear and concise communication, misunderstandings occur. Occasionally vague verbiage is to blame, other times it’s incorrect interpretation, but every now and again it boils down to what can only be described as plain, flat out stupidity. I’ll let you decide which of the three is applicable in this particular instance. Confused about Emile, a character slated to appear in the upcoming game Halo: Reach, this Bungie.net poster’s thoughts may be erroneous but they’re also entertaining. Probably because they said bewbs.

Aw, thanks for blogging this. The power of a single letter, ladies and gents. Oh, and I never said that last bit… At least, I don’t remember saying it.

    • Now might be a good time to call “no homo.”

    • Man this is why I shouldn’t type when I wake up, I thought you’re the one who thought emile was a girl. NEVERMIND, MY BAD.

      • Panncakez says:

        Thankfully not.

  13. 0101 says:

Sorry, but Emile its a male or a female name?

    • It’s male. That’s why Emile is a male Spartan.

      • Zerowind117 says:

There’s a short clip of his face in the Vidoc, or at least who I assume to be Emile. Think of it as “Eh-meel”

        • xLAS3RP01NT3Rx says:

          I thought it was a more Eh-Mi-Lay’.
          Hmmm.

        • Nope, it is indeed Eh-meel. Kind of like Emilio, but without the io. Google says the name is of Latin descent. http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/1/Emile

        • xLAS3RP01NT3Rx says:

          \e-mi-le\
That’s what the site you linked said.
          That’s what I said.
          Lol :P
          No really…

      • I was linking for the origin. But it’s Eh-meel. I knew an Emile in high school, foreign exchange student. We ended up calling him Emilio. I think he’d have killed use if we called him eh-mi-lay because it kind of sounds like Emily.

He spoke better english than any of us XD

  14. Indeed Not says:
