I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard at a Grin + Bear it yet. This was great

  2. Not Funny says:

Eh, but grinandbear, just a suggestion, maybe use speech bubbles or different coloured text just to make it easier to identify which speech belongs to which character.

    • Arby says:

Oh and my name ‘Not Funny’ wasn’t referring to this btw, I forgot I changed it to that.

    • mendicantbias00 says:

Left and right justification too hard to grasp?

      • this was my thinking! bubbles would just clutter up whats meant to be a simple comic….but colours could work? i’ll see what feedback i get

        but thanks mendi ^_^

      • newguy2445 says:

In such a small space the left and right setting out doesn’t make it overly obvious to somebody who isn’t 100% focused, considering that it’s only a few pixels that separate left from right in such a small panel.

When you have both characters speaking you can easily determine who is speaking with the left and right system, but when it’s just one of them it’s not as easy. I’m not saying hard… I’m saying that colour code or speech bubbles would make it easier.

  3. Best one yet!

But why does everyone pick on the generals?

    • Ben Of Bodom UK says:

Because those jerks always beat us dammit! Even if it’s 4v1 on Heretic they still beat us dammit!

  4. Ragingterror says:

Truer words have not been spoken.

  5. Liphttam1 says:

    I don’t get it.

    • JLtheking says:

      nor do I =/

    • mendicantbias00 says:

      The general insignia has leaves.

      • Liphttam1 says:

I get that. But the pricks are not covered. And I don’t think anyone has more then one “prick”.

        • ……….really?!

        • bs angel says:

I routinely have more than one prick Liphttam1. HA! YOU JUST GOT SERVED!

        • When he says “we’ve always covered our pricks with leaves,” he isn’t talking about just one person, he’s talking about 50s as a whole. That’s why the plural is there. It’s a joke, man. Sheesh. :/

        • Dude…

  6. Would everyone like to see colour coded speech? If so I’m happy to oblige :) glad you all like it!

    • mendicantbias00 says:

Im fine with the way things have been.

    • bs angel says:

I don’t think either are really necessary, especially since their names are mentioned first panel and their appearances are easily distinguishable. But your comic, your call Mr. Luke. Great strip by the way, loved this one!

    • pwkwsfi says:

I like to think your comic is called “Grin and Bare It” ;D

  7. That would help, I’d recomend it.

  8. Wasiq says:

I’m MLG and what is this?

  9. NartFOpc says:

Your implication that I am a prick is not appreciated.

    • NartFOpc says:

That being said, this is probably the most solid joke you’ve had so far, although I’m curious what the “stories behind the rank insignias” are.

  10. Clever. XD

  11. xLAS3RP01NT3Rx says:

This is the most original joke I’ve ever heard about generals…
    Ohmahgawd, thats just hilarious.

Oh and Angel, there’s a thread in the community forum that uses your stuff as an example for something.
    Oh the ambiguity,

  12. DeepCee says:

    LOL :P

  13. StephaBon says:

Great joke. Very true as well. Their egos are usually ginormous.

  14. Weezey31 says:

    Is Chief British?

    • don’t think so, but i am :) so i made him British…

  16. L337MA573R says:

I get that there’s some relation between Generals and Dicks, but that’s it.
